LATS Congress in Curitiba
The LATS Congress is bringing together more than 1,500 participants until April 23rd, in Curitiba. At the event’s official opening, the president of LATS, Dr. Fabian Pitoia made a general evaluation of the LATS’ work in the last two years. The President of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Janette Cerruti spoke about the development of the scientific program and the participation of dozens of specialists in the analysis of the scientific papers. The chairman of the Local Commission, Dr. Cleo Mesa spoke about how Curitiba was chosen for this Lats Congress. Doctors remembered the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic when the Congress was done only online.
Dr. Claudia Gabriela Pellizas (Argentina) received the LATS Senior Prize 2023 and she was presented by Dr. Ana Maria Masini (Argentina).
After the conference, Dr. Marcos Abalovich was honored. He passed away in 2021.
