"Gabriella Morreale: your life and your time" tells the story of a world reference in the area of endocrinology

Dr. Maria Jesus Obregon Perea is the co-author of a book that tells the life and work of one of the most important directors of European Thyroid Association (ETA), Dr. Gabriella Morreale de Castro, passed away in Madrid on December 4, 2017, at the age of 87 years. She one of the founders of the ETA, in 1967, and president from 1978 and 1980. She was also one of the founders of modern endocrinology in Spain and dedicated her life to discovering the influence of iodine on thyroid hormones and the development of the brain.

Entitled “Gabriella Morreale: Your life and your time”, the biography was written in the last three years in partnership with Drs. José Pedro Moreno, Flora de Pablo and Francisco Puertas.

“Addressed to a broad audience, the book is written with an informative and through approach. It is surprising that in a country, time and circumstances so difficult for a woman to devote herself to science, Gabriella was able to become a world leader the field of research. His life is so exciting that many chapters can be read as a novel. And, is surprising, finally, their human qualities”, said Maria Jesus Obregon Perea.

The book is for sale on the Unebook sites and Amazon.
